This manual is designed as a reference guide to aid aspiring talent from infants to adults “get started” in the entertainment industry: television, film, commercial, modeling, and print. It covers the basics and will answer your most frequently asked questions.

Many people, including myself, have been a victim of scam. Be careful of agencies that are not SAG-franchised and require you to pay an “up-front” registration fee. This topic will be covered in the chapters to follow on SAG (Agents) and Commission, along with informing you of what constitutes a “legitimate” talent agency.

My goals are to save you money and time, help you to avoid excessive and unnecessary spending, and, avoid agencies that are not reputable—who have “hidden agendas” to separate you from your pocketbook!

My objective is to make you aware and inform you of what is available and accessible with little money spent.
